Installation Guide

Theme documentation and installation.

From download to publication, we guide you through secure installation, content setup, and pre-launch checks.

01

Content of the downloaded package

The package received after purchase contains the theme ZIP file that can be uploaded to the Shopify system, as well as the guides and additional files provided with the product. Before uploading, check the file name and version.

02

Make a backup

If you are working on an existing webshop, make a copy of the current theme version before installation. Always configure new theme settings in preview mode so that the live webshop remains unchanged during development.

03

Select the installable ZIP file

If the downloaded product package contains multiple files, first unpack the product package, then locate the Shopify installation ZIP file within it. Do not unpack the installation ZIP file itself before uploading.

04

Upload the theme file

In your Shopify admin, open Online Store and Themes, then select Add new theme and Upload ZIP file. The names of the Shopify interface elements may change over time, but the upload can always be started from the theme directory.

05

Preview and initial setup

Do not publish the uploaded theme variant immediately. Open it in preview mode, check the header, footer, home page, product page, collections, and cart.

06

Global presence

Set up the logo, colors, fonts, buttons, and general spacing. Finalize the global settings first, and only then refine the appearance of individual sections.

07

Page and section structure

Assign the appropriate templates to the pages, then upload the texts, images, and videos. Disable empty or not yet finalized sections until their content is ready.

08

Products, collections and menus

Check that products appear in the correct collections, product cards lead to the correct page, and navigation menus link to functional pages and collections.

09

Testing before publishing

Review the webshop on desktop and mobile. Test the navigation, product variants, shopping cart, discounts, forms, and the path to payment. For digital products, place a test order to verify delivery.

010

Publishing and subsequent update

Only publish the new theme version after a complete check. Before any subsequent updates, create a copy of the live theme version and note down any custom code modifications, as these will need to be separately migrated to a new version.

If you need assistance

When requesting support, please provide the name and version of your theme, the URL of your webshop, and a precise description of the issue you are experiencing. Attach screenshots and describe the steps you have already tried.
